A pump organ is an organ with foot pedals to pump air into the bellows (lungs?) to blow air across the reeds. So of like a harmonica or an accordian. Also so known as a reed organ.
I think a banjolin is a banjo in the range (soprano) of a mandolin. So it would have the snare durm body of a banjo with 8 strings tuned to four notes like a mandolin. A mondolin is tuned like a violin.
A slit drum? got me! |
