When the blinds are drawn and im in my rrom. I sit and wish only of you. The long day is over and i still think of you.

i believe this song is played at the end of ER season 11, episode 2 entitled "Damaged," which was at an end of Dr. Carter's long day; and it was perfect in setting the mood of the final scenes...what a voice!

We played this song at my Grandma's funeral, 2 weeks ago Wednesday and it's so emotional. It makes me cry alot. But over all it's a great song, just for me, it's really sad.

Je revois mon grand frère, le visage creusé par la vie qui s'enfuit. Je le revois attendre en vain, dans cette chambre trop blanche ou trop grise, je revois son portrait posé près du cercueil à jamais scellé. Et je le sais à présent, dans les champs céleste où il court et rit en toute liberté...

La plus belle chanson de l'album et sans doute la plus belle chanson d'espoir que je n'ai jamais entendu.
Je voudrais simpliment ajouté ceci:
Malgré tout, on s'habitue et malgré tout on s'attache à nos longues journées. Quand arrive enfin le moment tant attendu, celui d'une porte vers la lumière, un dernier regard en arrière plein de souvenir, un dernier soupir plein de nostalgie... puis on ouvre la porte pour la refermer à jamais, sans jamais se retourner.

à Jesse Harris et Norah Jones, toute mon admiration.

Perhaps the best song on the album. You can almost hear her deep within her soul being relieved tomorrow is on the way. This is a powerful song sung by an amazing vocalist.

this song is a perfect definition of a horrible day but when its over its over...it reminds me of how things can go completely wrong and then you realize as soon as you sleep on it, its over...I always listen to it when i have had a super bad day and it just always gives me hope that tomorrow will be a better day.

Norah Jones makes every song, every simple word so intens and special. This song reminds me of the rough days you sometimes have. When nothing seems to go right, when you feel so sad and alone... But at the end of that day, you think: Ah.. It's finally over.. No matter how bad a day has been, there will come a end. When you can just sit and relax, think about all the worries and the pain, but just feeling safe because you're finally home and no one can take that away from you.

I love this song, my mom past away when i was young, and most of the time i'll just burst out crying about all the pain out of nowhere, i still do. This song makes me forget about all my pain and for me the long years that i spent feeling like a void is left in my heart, at the end of the day i can lay down and be glad that the long day is over, all my problems are gone with wind, and at the end of the day, there's some joy at the end of the tunnel, thats what i feel like when she sings about "the sun will rise", i can't begin to put into words how many ways i can relate to so many of her songs, especially this one, it's simply a beautiful song and i hope everyone makes their own special meaning from this song.
