Norah Jones - Lee Alexander

Round 'n' round
carousel
has got you under it's spell
moving so fast ... but
going nowhere

Up 'n' down
ferris wheel
tell me how does it feel
to be so high ...
looking down here

Is it lonely ?
lonely
lonely

Did the clown
make you smile
he was only your fool for a while
now he's gone back home
and left you wandering there

Is it lonely ?
lonely
lonely

Ciáo, questa cancione me fa pensare un po a Fellini - no? Delizioso, é vero.

Now that I saw an Italian member, I come to think this happy and charming song reminds a bit of the very famous Italian filmdirector Fellini and his music in his films, like in the film "la Strada". Fellini´s films often include clowns as symbolic element, like reflecting the above lyrics.

Più ascolto e leggo queste canzoni, più mi fanno pensare a delle Ballate... Non so, hanno qualcosa di avvolgente, tenero e comunque ricorrente.

Semplicemente Deliziose: tutte!

You can hear alittle Holiday in her voice. I'm hard pressed to choose a favorite on this album but this one is definitely in the top 3.

oOooOohhh this song is sooo pretty! I love the carousel-like music and the soft piano which reminds me of the children's melodies I played when I took lessons as a kid. I think what the song's about is that this person goes to the carnival to have fun, and for the day all their troubles are gone. but at the end of the day, everyone goes home and all the magic is gone. even the clown goes home, probably to watch football and have a beer or something, and the person is left all alone and lonely, standing the dim, unlit fairground.
