BandLink Enhancement FAQ
What is BandLink?
BandLink is software used to enhance a standard CD. When a BandLink CD is placed in your PC it will instantly launch a proprietary Internet-powered CD player.
Why would I want to use BandLink?
A BandLink CD offers an Internet-powered music experience with bonus songs, music videos and additional artist information including bios, tour dates, news, photos and the ability to chat with other fans and the artist.
How do I circumvent BandLink?
BandLink is software and requires a very quick installation. If you do not wish to use BandLink, you can cancel the installation process and the CD will automatically play via your computer’s default media player. If for some reason that does not happen, simply launch your preferred media player and select the CD to play.
How Do I disable BandLink if I decide I don’t want it?
If you have previously installed BandLink and decide you do not want it, the process is the same as removing any other software from your computer: Start>Programs>Bandlink>UnInstall. This will remove Bandlink.
What BandLink is not:
BandLink is not data collection agency.
User data from the BandLink registration process is used only to contact registrants about the artist(s) and to provide updates on bonus content. User data is collected in aggregate (not linked to any personal information that can identify an individual person) and can be shared with artists and record label partners.
BandLink is not spyware.
BandLink does not place any spy programs on to your computer to collect data. The only data collected is from the BandLink registration process and of usage for that specific CD including song plays, favorite tracks and total tracks played.
* BandLink is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
* BandLink registration contains an End-User License Agreement (EULA).
